Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy

Thank you for shopping with Madison Garde (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We take great pride in crafting each small-batch, artisan product by hand and want every customer to be delighted with their order. Because our baked goods are made-to-order and perishable, special care applies to refunds, returns, and cancellations.
1. No Returns or Refunds for Change of Mind
All cookie and bakery product sales are final once payment has been processed through Square Payments on our Squarespace storefront.
Due to the perishable nature of our cookies and pastries, we cannot accept returns or provide refunds for taste preferences, texture, or color variations.
Please review product descriptions carefully before placing your order to ensure accuracy of flavor, quantity, and pickup/delivery selections.
2. Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt so we can evaluate and resolve the issue promptly.
To initiate a replacement or refund review, email us at madisongarde@outlook.com and include:
Your full name and order number
A brief description of the issue
Clear photos of the product(s) and packaging as received.
We will inspect the claim and, where appropriate, issue a replacement, store credit, or partial refund to your original payment method via Square Payments within 5–10 business days. Madison Garde reserves the right to determine eligibility for remedy based on the evidence provided.
3. Order Cancellations & Modifications
Because each order is handcrafted and often begins preparation shortly after it is placed:
Cancellations or changes must be requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled dispatch, pickup, or delivery time.
Requests made after this window may not be eligible for modification or refund.
To request a cancellation or change, email madisongarde@outlook.com with your order number and “Cancellation Request” in the subject line.
Approved cancellations processed before the 48-hour cutoff will be refunded to the original payment method via Square Payments, minus any non-recoverable transaction fees.
4. Product Appearance & Variation Disclaimer
All Madison Garde products are hand-made in small batches, which means:
Natural variations in size, shape, decoration, or color are normal and not considered defects.
Product images on our website and social media are representative, not exact replicas.
Environmental factors (temperature, humidity, and handling) may affect appearance without impacting quality or taste.
We guarantee that every item leaving our kitchen meets our high standards for freshness and flavor.
5. Payment Disputes
If you experience an issue with your payment or believe a charge was made in error, please contact us directly before filing a dispute with your bank or card issuer. Because we use Square Payments for secure processing, initiating a chargeback without prior contact may delay resolution.
6. Exceptions
Refunds or credits may be issued at our sole discretion in limited circumstances such as:
Confirmed shipping carrier loss or delivery to the wrong address (verified via tracking data).
Verified product defect or contamination (extremely rare).
These exceptions will be handled individually and in good faith to ensure fairness for all parties.
